Editor's Letter

More on the Authorship

As summer changes to fall, many of us may feel the need to recover after an action-packed summer. Cooler temperatures might also entice you to stay inside a bit more, while back-to-school busyness can mean more distractions, commitments and stress.

Our President's letter holds an important reminder of the need for balance and self-care during this time. I, personally, took pause at the cue that self-care is both external and internal. I was reminded that there are so many layers there.

A few offerings in this issue also reminded me that rejuvenation doesn't mean necessarily mean inactivity -- see the article on ways to get students dancing and how dancing positively impacts one's inner and outer worlds.

I hope that you will enjoy the article on nature-based physical activity in physical and health education as much as I did. I'm certain it will leave you thinking, and inspired to explore how going outside can be a necessary mesh for going within.
